A bright red cereal and popcorn snack—perfect for Valentine's Day.

Ingredients
  • cups Cheerios® cereal
  • cups popped microwave popcorn
  • 1/2 cup red cinnamon candies
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup water
  • cup nuts, if desired
  •  Ground cinnamon, if desired
Directions
  1. Heat oven to 300°F. Into large bowl, measure cereal and popcorn; set aside.
  2. In 3-quart saucepan, heat candies, sugar, butter and water over medium heat, stirring frequently, until melted and blended. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased large roasting pan.
  3. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly; stirring every 10 minutes. Stir in nuts. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Store in airtight container.
