Total time:
1 Hr 20 Min
Makes:
16 to 20 cutouts
Ingredients
  • 10 cups Cheerios® cereal
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • bag (10 1/2 oz) miniature marshmallows (6 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon food color (any color)
  • tube (4.25 oz) Betty Crocker® decorating icing, if desired
  •  Assorted candies or small gumdrops, if desired
Directions
  1. Spray 15x10x1-inch pan with cooking spray. Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
  2. In 2-quart saucepan, heat butter and marshmallows over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in food color until mixture is evenly colored. Pour over cereal; gently stir until evenly coated. Press evenly in pan, using buttered back of spoon. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
  4. With 2-inch cookie cutters, cut mixture into shapes. Use icing to attach candies. Store loosely covered.
