Apple-Cinnamon Pancakes

1cup Apple Cinnamon Cheerios® cereal
3/4cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
3/4cup milk
2/3cup chunky applesauce
3tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2teaspoons baking powder
1/4teaspoon salt
1egg
Maple-flavored syrup, if desired

1.Heat griddle or 12-inch skillet over medium-low heat or to 325°F; grease if necessary.
2.Crush cereal. In large bowl, stir together cereal and remaining ingredients except syrup just until moistened.
3.Pour batter by generous 1/4 cupfuls onto hot griddle. Cook about 2 minutes or until bubbles begin to break on the surface. Turn pancakes and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes longer. Serve with syrup.

Tasty Topping:
Skip the syrup, and top these moist pancakes with warm apple pie filling or a sprinkle of brown sugar instead.
