CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Bowyer made his second-consecutive berth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup in 2008, and finished fifth in the final championship point standings. Recorded one win, seven top-five and 17 top-10 finishes
  • Recorded second career NSCS win on May 3, 2008, at Richmond International Raceway in 83rd start
  • Won the 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers championship. Recorded one win, 14 top-five and 29 top-10 finishes in 35 starts
  • In his breakout sophomore season (2007), Bowyer earned his first berth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and finished third in points. Logged one win, two poles, five top-five and 17 top-10 finishes
  • Recorded first career NSCS win September 16, 2007, at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 64th career start
  • Won first career NSCS pole May 11, 2007 at Darlington (S.C) Raceway in 48th career start
  • Named driver of the No. 07 Chevrolet for the 2006 NSCS season. Earned four topfive and 11 top-10 finishes en route to a runner-up finish in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings. Wrapped up his freshman season 17th in the final Sprint Cup Series championship points
  • Rolled to a third-place finish in the 2006 NNS championship points on the strength of one win, two poles, 12 top-five and 17 top-10 finishes in RCR’s No. 2 Chevrolet
  • Earned two wins, two poles, 12 top-five and 22 top-10 finishes while driving RCR’s No. 2 Chevy to a runner-up finish in the 2005 NNS championship points
  • Made NSCS debut April 23, 2005, at Phoenix International Raceway. Started 25th and finished 22nd driving RCR’s No. 33 Chevrolet
  • Recorded first NNS win at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway June 11, 2005, in 32nd career start
  • Spent 2004 sharing driving duties with Kevin Harvick in RCR’s No. 21 Chevrolet in the NNS. In 17 starts, Bowyer earned one pole, four top-five and seven top-10 finishes. Also made one start for Andy Petree Racing and two starts for Kevin Harvick Inc.
  • Won first career NNS pole April 24, 2004, at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in third career start
  • Made two NASCAR West Series starts in 2004 for Bill McAnally Racing, winning the pole and notching a second-place finish May 1 at California Speedway
  • Made two Automobile Racing Club of America starts in 2003 and caught Childress’ eye after leading 47 laps on the way to a second-place finish in his ARCA Series debut at Nashville Superspeedway
  • Raced a full schedule in NASCAR’s Midwest Series in 2003
  • Earned 2002 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Midwest championship following a second Modified championship at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., and a Late Model crown at 1-70 Speedway in Odessa, Mo.
  • Finished second in 2002 NWRS national points after posting 12 wins, nine poles and 32 top-five finishes
  • Racked up 18 wins and 32 top fives in 40 starts en route to the 2001 Modified championships at Lakeside Speedway and Heartland Park Topeka (Kan.)
  • Won 2000 Modified championship at Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, Kan., and finished second in the Modified points at Lakeside Speedway
  • Made the transition to four wheels in 1996 racing street stocks at Thunderhill Speedway
