Kate Cronan, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and a medical editor at KidsHealth.org. She is responsible for ensuring the medical accuracy of health information created for the KidsHealth website and other media produced by the Nemours Center for Children’s Health Media. Dr. Cronan is co-author of First Aid Tips for Parents from Sandvik Publishers, and co-editor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Secrets from Hanley and Belfus. She lectures nationally on the subject of pediatric emergency care and has appeared in several educational videos for parents.

Dr. Cronan is the Chief of Emergency Medicine at the A. I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She has been voted a “Top Doc for Kids” in Philadelphia Magazine and Delaware Today Magazine.

Dr. Cronan received her MD from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she also pursued fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
